The Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex will host a women's Opportunity Tournament Jan. 29-31, 2010 with the winner receiving a main draw wildcard into the $25K Women's Pro Circuit event, held two weeks later in Surprise.
The winner of the Opportunity Tournament will receive a wildcard into the main draw of singles, and the finalist and the two semifinalists will receive wildcards into the qualifying tournament. There will also be a doubles tournament with the winners receiving a wildcard into the main draw and the finalists receiving a wildcard into the doubles qualifying tournament.
The City of Surprise will be hosting for the third consecutive year, a Women’s $25,000 USTA Pro Circuit tournament. Tournament dates are February 14-21, 2010. Past participants at this tournament have included Brenda Schultz Mccarthy, Coco Vandeweghe, and Angela Haynes. Last year’s winner was 2009 US Open semi-finalist Yannia Wickmayer.

International Tennis Federation rules state that all players must be at least 14 years old and have an ITF IPIN number to compete in the pro circuit. However, for this Opportunity Event an ITF IPIN Number is not needed.
Registration for the Opportunity Event is online HERE and the tournmant ID # is 759321910. Deadline for registration to that event is Jan. 17, 2009.
