In Antalya, Turkey, the USA 35’s Suzanne Lenglen Cup team is looking good.  The #2 seeded Americans defeated Turkey easily on Monday, with Julie Cass winning at #1 singles over Stela Penciu, 6-1, 6-1, and  Jessica Schlotterback winning at #2 singles over Nurcan Kocayil, 6-2, 6-0.  Michelle King and Carolyn Wei won the doubles point comfortably, with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Penciu and Hurmuz Atar.

Day two was another success, as the USA defeated the Netherlands, 2-1.  Carolyn Wei lost at #2 singles against Ingeborg Vonk.  Jessica Schlotterback won at #1 singles in two easy sets against Mirjam Swarte.  Cass and King sealed the victory by winning their doubles match against Vonk/Swarte, 6-1, 6-2.

The Americans have the day off on Wednesday, and then the fireworks begin.  They will match up against Germany on Thursday and a very talented Spaniard team on Friday.  If they win their flight, they will be looking forward to challenging the #1 seed and defending champions from France.
