About Us

USTA Central Arizona is the local United States Tennis Association organization committed to promoting the growth of junior and adult recreational and competitive tennis throughout Central Arizona.

Started in 1968 as PATA (Phoenix Area Tennis Association), USTA Central Arizona has approximately 3,500 adult members, 1,200 junior members, and over 60 organization members comprised of private clubs, public facilities, and schools.

We believe that tennis is a means to a healthy life, social interactions, and good sportsmanship at all ages and skill levels ... from the beginner to the advanced player. It is also our goal to serve underprivileged youth and special populations, bring joy and achievement to their lives.

USTA Central Arizona is chartered by the USTA Southwest Section, and provides services to all zipcodes within Maricopa County, plus Casa Grande, Coolidge, Apache Junction, Florence, Payson, Strawberry, Pine and City of Maricopa in Pinal County in Arizona. USTA Southwest Section is one of seventeen sections of the national USTA organization, United States Tennis Association.

The USTA Central Arizona Junior Council administers a scholarship program wherein a limited amount of money is available for financial aid to junior players who are traveling to national and sectional events. Priority will be given to those with the greatest need.

USTA Central Arizona is a non-profit 501c(3) organization. All donations are tax-deductible.
